In the current global economy, multilingual skills are more essential than ever. Researchers at City Lit have examined job advertisements to gauge the growing need for multilingual professionals across different sectors. Their findings show a high demand for European languages, with German, French, and Spanish being the most sought-after.
In-demand languages across industries
Indeed, the data indicates that German, French, and Spanish are highly desired across various industries, HR News reports. German tops the list, with substantial demand in fields like Management, Sales, and Technology, including over 1,035 job openings specifically in Management. French also shows significant demand, especially in Marketing, Education, and Recruitment, with 1,080 positions available in Management. Spanish, spoken by many worldwide, is particularly sought after in Management (700 jobs), Recruitment (210 jobs), and Sales (400 jobs). Mastery of these languages can open up valuable career opportunities in international markets.
Multilingual applicants
